I often get asked these questions:
What’s the Smarter Move, Start My Business or Stay in School?
Should I go to college or take the risk and start a business?
So should someone just start a business or first go to college?
After all, we all heard that most successful people in business usually dropped out of school in pursuit of their dreams.
The answer is yes—and no. A lot depends on your background, how far along you are in developing your business idea. Do you have the resources to invest in your business or support from family members to invest in you? Do you have a backup plan when all else fails?
These are the questions that should guide your decision to either go to college, enroll in a trade school, or start your business.
After receiving my bachelors in business administration and marketing, I came down to this conclusion, you shouldn’t be afraid to start a business. You should be more afraid for not taking the risk and learn about yourself on how far you can grow your business. You can always enroll back in college if all else fails.
